He's Hoffman

Ike's favorite past time is sitting on the front step watching the cars drive by. It made me laugh the other say as I recalled my Grandpa Ike (where the name comes from) and his brother also enjoy sitting outside watching cars as well. Is it genetic? (sidenote: I can't WAIT to give up the pacifier. It was close to naptime when this picture happened)

We changed Dani to a new school and she now goes in the afternoon. Best decision we ever made but we won't talk about that. Ike loves waiting for the bus and runs excitedly to the front door when I even say the B-U-S word. It is far more fun to wait for Dani and Alexandria to come home though. He misses his sisters. He sleeps the entire 2 hours Dani is gone, and it has been wonderful! Back to Ike. When cars go by he watches and sometimes points adding, 'carcar'. When a pickup truck goes by he gets to his feet (see picture on right). But true joy comes when a dump truck, garbage truck, mail truck, or other utility trucks drive by. They have been doing some work in our neighborhood so we have cement trucks, loaders, and dump trucks driving around constantly. What a fun kid!!
