So....a few weekends later when we were granted absolutely beautiful weather, Mason took us on a hike. It was a fun adventure. We hike through the University Arboretum. It was gorgeous. I can't tell you how far we hiked though. We let Dani pick a trail head and we weaved our way through the wood. We did take our camera. Along the way my girls turned the hike into a horse ride and galloped through the trees. At some parts they dismounted because the trail was too narrow. I LOVE their imagination. Enjoy the pictures below of our hike! If you ever make to our area...put this on your to do list. It is also FREE!

Checking out a river.

Checking out one of the lakes we hike around. Ike saw something in the water, although I'm not sure how with all the green.

Ike took the easy hike option for most of the way.

Checking out all the amazing colors along the trail. He didn't walk far.

My horse riders! Ike refused to join them in the picture. What a bull headed kid!! I vote he is like his dad.

We found a bench in the middle of the wood. It was kind of random but still a good place to rest.
This tree was enormous and the leaves are a very vibrant red.
Alexandria resting on the bench.
This was taken at the start of the hike. The girls led their horses over the fallen tree that blocked the trail.
What a great day and memory!!
