Easter has always been an enjoyable time for my family when I was a kid. Every year for as long as I can remember my mom and dad colored eggs, hid those eggs, lost eggs
(we've upgraded to plastic eggs now for that reason), had the Bunny come and hide our baskets, and were taught the true meaning of Easter. This year those same traditions were upheld with my girls. We spent Easter weekend at Nana Ann and Papa Randy's house. Friday night we colored "real eggs" blue, green, yellow, pink and orange. For breakfast the next couple of days we ate those eggs and the girls thought that was just marvelous. Saturday my Nana and Papa hid 28 plastic eggs outside on the east end of their house. For every egg you find, you can trade it in for you choice of candy. The first two rounds were hiden extremely easy for the Allie and Dani, but then we did a "difficult" round for the older kids, Ashley, Destinee and Me. Unfortunately it was just my sisters, and we missed Nick, Rochelle, and Ethan this easter. My siblings and I have what I call healthy competion when it comes to egg hunting!! I will brag about my Dani, she found a couple of eggs during the difficult round! Since the easter bunny doesn't come to Nana and Papa's house, Grandma Easter
(as Allie called it) came, which is just my mom in Rabbit ears!! The baskets were hidden. Allie was in the bathtub and Dani's was behind a closet door. We had a great time. We stayed a couple more days visiting great grandparents, new babies, and shopping. We came home Monday night and as you will see the girls were TIRED!
Coloring Eggs
Dani showing Nana her green egg.

Allie is trying to scoop her egg out of the blue water by herself. She tried using her fingers but made a silly face when she noticed her blue fingers!
Dani kept asking if she could drink the water. Vinger, water and food color I guess looked appealing!
Allie had a great time!
Dani dropping the white egg into the green water....what will happen?
Allie showing off her blue egg.
Dani excited she got her egg on the spoon to show us what her egg looked like!
Decorating eggs with princess stickers
See her pretty egg that ended up cracked!
Egg Hunt
Ashley, Allie and Dani looking for the eggs.
Dani finds the egg but Allie is faster at getting to them even if Dani has a head start!
Found it and got it!
Allie found one, with the help of mom! By the second round she really understood what it meant to "find eggs."
See the egg in the bush...Dani did!
EASTER BASKETS FROM GRANDMA EASTER AND PAPA!

Ride home after all the Easter Fun!
Dani didn't make it 10 minutes before looking like this.
Allie made it almost all the way home, except for the last 15 minutes!
The Easter bunny did make it to our house and left the girls each a basket of candy and a movie on their bed. Also Nana Kay and Papa Dave sent some Easter clothes which look adorable on the girls. Thank you everyone for helping us make Easter memorable!!

How much fun! I am sad I missed seeing the girls color and look for eggs. I just can't believe how big, and beautiful they are.
I miss you love! Hope all is well!
(If it makes you feel better, we didn't do anything speical for Easter- in fact we had cereal for dinner)
BTW- I'm not sure Al or Dan were oringinally yours..... Although they look like you... I think they also look like their Anties....
I think Al was indended for Ash...
And I think Dan was oringianlly mine...
Is something tricky going on? hehe
(I can't speak for Ash) But the Lord apparently knew my 'parenting' abilities and send them to the right person= Tara.
