Time flies when you are having fun, takes on a whole new meaning this year. Has it really been 7 years since Mason and I became parents? It feels like a lifetime ago, but all at the same time it feels like it was 2005 just yesterday. I arranged her 'Star of the Week' for her 1st grade class to be the week before her birthday (someone already had taken her week). We filled out a little form called, 'All About Me: Alexandria J. Smith'. I thought I would share a few. Her favorite pet...Horse. I keep wondering when that answer will change or when she will get her first pet horse. Her favorite color...Fuchsia. (Not to many years ago it was green) Her favorite thing to do with her family...Friday night movie night! I have to admit this is one of my most favorite things also. Her favorite thing to do at school is...Recess and Gym. Very classic answers but I would expand it to say she also loves to read and is quite exceptional. When she grows up she wants to be a Veterinarian Cowgirl. Her name changed this year, and she prefers to be known now as Alexandria. As you can see, and if you know her, she is still our little Allie, just another year older.

Her birthday fell on a Tuesday this year so we waited until the weekend to officially celebrate. We went for a bike ride. We biked along a trail, stopped at Culvers for lunch and ice cream, and biked back home. Not sure exactly how far we went but somewhere in the neighborhood of 6-10 miles round trip. The girls biked themselves and only a block from our house, did we have our first tears and "My legs hurt!" (Dani was the culprit)

We stopped by a stream and played in the water for a few minutes to cool off and to see how deep it was. Mason really wanted to bike right through it!
