February Fun

Although February is the shortest month of the year, I found it was long and took forever to end. However we did have a lot of fun this month. Valentines weekend we went to Disney Princesses on Ice with Nana Ann and Papa Randy (thanks for the tickets and great seats)! The plan was to dine at Chuck E Cheeses, then head over to the arena. I think everyone else had the same great idea and we ended up finding a different location. At the arena the girls were so excited for the show to start. Nana played her role and spoiled the girls, something her kids won't let her live down!! Anyhow, I don't think Allie and Dani knew what to expect. At first I think they thought it would be like the movie theater and when they saw the ice area, confusion spread across their face. A voice over the loud speaker announced the show would start in 3 minutes and Allie couldn't hold still. So excited she reach over multiple times to rub Dani's head, arm or just give her a smile. Her feet were already wiggling so I think that is the best she could do to expel some excitement! Dani being a good sport said nothing about the contact, but smiled back with the same enthusiasms. The show started and they were awe struck. We really had a great time. The 45 minute drive home Dani talked non-stop replaying her favorite parts in of the show. At one point she even said: "Mom, I love Prince Phillip!" Allie on the other hand, slept all the way home. She rode with Papa.

EASTER EGGS!
I know Easter isn't until April, but our calender and my parents calender is again packed with fun. So yesterday we decorated Easter eggs. Allie, Dani and Destinee had the choice of 6 different colors while under the supervision of Nana, Papa, and I.

Destinee is that yellow?!

Goofy
Getting Allie off to school by 9 in the morning on some days is challenging. We desire to be up by 8, but some mornings it just doesn't happen. I should have enrolled her in afternoon 4K, but this is good practice for next year. Anyway, I've been teaching Dani to dress herself and in the process she also picks out her own outfits. this morning we didn't have time to get dressed but she put on her own socks and shoes. I tried to fix them but she thought they were cool. She is such a goofy kid sometimes.
