Mason's Heart is in Haiti

February 1999- February 2001 Mason served a mission for the LDS church in the Haiti Port-Au-Prince Mission. During the last 6 days our hearts have ached for the tragedy the earthquake has left the county in. MSNBC has become our favorite channel as we wait for updates on the people and country he was able to serve. We have also been watching for updates from his mission president for a few opportunities to serve again. Mason longs to go back to his mission as I'm sure every missionary does to his own, but this last week the desire has increased.

Below are a few pictures that I took from his mission album his mom put together. Remember these were taken over 10 years ago and they are not digital so they are a little blurry, but I think you still can see the beauty of the ocean and the living style of these people. God speed the relief effort and hopefully Mason will be there this summer (but only for a little while).

View out the window of apartment in Jacmel. The main market for that town is under the tin roofs .

Mason and some locals playing at an old fort.

One of the many beautiful beaches, this one is in Jacmel.

one of the many beautiful beaches in St Marc. Several of the people we worked with lived less than 100 ft from where this picture was taken.

I can't imagine what Mason is feeling, I want to help, but don't really know where or what to send. If you hear anything from his mission president, let me know
