Birthday Round-up with princesses!

So 4 years ago today (5/18/05) we were bringing our first child home from the hospital. She was born at 6 lbs 13 oz, 19 inches long. She was tiny, and I was terrified not really sure if Mason felt differently. Thankfully we were not going to bring our baby home by ourselves. My mother and Mason's Mom was there to do all the scarey stuff, like give this tiny little girl a bath! We really didn't have a reason to be afraid of Allie because she was an absolute angel baby. The first night I woke her up to feed her in the middle of the night and by six weeks old she was sleeping all night through. Allie cried when she was hungry, tired or needed a change. She was every doctors dream patient. Physically she grew and developed perfectly. Although she screamed for the entire State of Utah when she received her shots, by a couple of hours later they didn't bother her. After I returned to work Nana Kay was so generous and became her "daycare." I was so thankful because it really was Nana Kay that developed the nice habits; three hour afternoon naps and then 12 hours at night, reading and playing with her which helped her become so smart. Although Allie was a fabulous baby, I don't miss that infant stage at all. I love to hear her talk. She has such a wild imagination. Did you know her bike is actually her horse name Kalipso? The little door to the garage that stores the outside play toys is actually the door to the barn that her horse sleeps in at night. Her baby stoller is not only used for its purpose, it is also her lawnmower. The couch arm rests are horse Ginger and horse Grey. Every night Allie and Dani ride those horses back to the barn, feed them hay and cover them with a blanket, all with make-believe stuff. My kitchen chairs often service as a train that takes Allie and Dani to Utah to visit Nana Kay and Papa Dave. Along the way they pick up Nana Ann and Papa Randy. I could seriously go on for hours just on make believe, but I'll move on. Allie is smart. By age 4, she can spell and write her name very well. She has a workbook (Comprehensive Curriculum of basic skills) which is her homework that she LOVES to do. She can draw lines, circles, and we are pretty close to triangles and squares. She knows all her letters and can write most of them, numbers, shapes, size differences (bigger/smaller), counts above 25, etc. She know such random things that I always comment, where did you learn that! Allie loves her sister and is always playing with her, or taking care of her. And if you can't tell we love having Allie in our home. She has been such a wonderful addition to our family over the past 4 years. HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALLIE!

Her party was awesome. Her actually birthday was Friday the 15th, but the party was Sunday the 17th. She was very upset Friday morning so Dani gave her, her present early at 7:30am. Dani picked out an Ariel Barbie doll, which Allie loved. Nana Audrey and Papa Ray Ray sent the girls purses with some things inside and money for Allie's birthday. Allie bought the Sleeping Beauty movie with her money and put the rest in the bank. Ethan and Kellie sent her an adorable outfit with a stuffed horse in a purse thing. She thinks it is the coolest thing. Her friend Jace also got her a horse with a little girl rider. The horse makes noise and she explains how it works to everyone before she shows them. Grandma Carol and Grandpa Ike got her money and a sleeping beauty dollie. Ashley and Barbie gave her some REALLY cute clothes. We think she has gotten enough...but she still has a few presents in the mail!

Nana Ann and Papa Randy and Destinee gave her a cowGIRL outfit, including boots and a hat.
The funny part is 46 years ago Nana Ann turned 4 years old and received a cowgirl outfit. And we can't leave Dani out...she got a cowgirl hat. Finally Mason and I....I decided that my girls need a playhouse. So I looked at the library and found a book with the exact pattern that I want the house to look like, and after some sweet talk, Mason agreed. So Allie and Dani now have a playhouse. Pictures will come after it is totally completed. It still needs a roof, siding, and door.
