Every Wednesday since we moved here it is library day. They have baby story time at 10am and then kid story time at 10:30am. The girls absolutely love the library and it gives me somewhere to go during the week. Around November 2007 I found a board book of Curious George. It was in the "baby board book" section at our library. Since renting this book Dani has fallen in love with George. She has gotten a few "George books" to start her own collection and always is carrying them around or reading them herself.Well about a week ago Allie fell and scrapped her hand while playing outside. After a weekend at Nana and Papa's house she found that "Shrek Bandaids" exist. On Monday she asked it we could go to the store and find some fun bandaids. I being the awesome mom said why sure. We got to the bandaid aisle and Dani found Curious George bandaids. She removed the box from the shelf and carried them (after paying for them) out of the store.
This morning while I was getting breakfast ready Dani stood by the stove and pointed at it saying (in her language) "George." I was a little confused but then remember that I keep the bandaids with other medicine above the stove out of reach. We put one on her hand and she just acts like it is the best thing in the whole world. She has shown me a few times today her fun George bandaid. I never realized that at 16 months you can have a favorite item in life.

Tessa LOVED George around Dani's age too and we are now proud owners of MANY George books and DVD's. I think he's great for them to love...clean, cute and teaches them something.
